Ikorodu City Clinches First NPFL Win

Ikorodu City secured a long-awaited first three points of the season, defeating Barau FC 2-0 in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

It was a tough game for the Oga Boys at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos.

The Ikorodu team that fought very hard in the first half had to rely on substitutes in the second half to clinch the much – expected win. Joseph Arumala and Ayomide Cole scored at 59th and 85th minutes for Ikorodu City to record the maximum three points.

Ayomide Cole, Tosin Oyedokun and Joseph Arumala had replaced Dagogo, Gift and Moses at the beginning, bringing fresh breadth into the match.
